Last summer a few of our staff went to America to visit some of our suppliers. Here is their report from Amy’s, the supplier of our very popular vegetarian frozen foods line:

“We arrived just as they were making burritos. The fresh tortillas rolled past on a conveyor belt where each received a measured amount of filling. Further down the line the burritos were wrapped by hand. Amy’s really does it’s best to create hand made food as far as possible. When we asked them why they try to do so much by hand they said it makes a real difference to the taste and texture of the final product. Their focus is not on people helping machines, but on keeping people to the forefront. Amy’s believes this improves the quality of the final product as well as ensuring work for the local population. ”
